Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Project Manager to lead complex programs in a high-tempo environment. The role requires building plans, monitoring cost and schedule, and coordinating with engineers, subcontract admins, and IPT management.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's in a related field with 4–6+ years (or more) of project management experience, MS Office proficiency, and the ability to obtain/maintain US Secret

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 6 years’ experience in project management OR Master’s degree with 4 years’ experience in project management.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• At least 2 years of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience working with and manipulating detail-oriented data.
• Ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (in-scope or Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time.

Responsibilities

• Support the program to accomplish a variety of precise, time-sensitive monthly deliverables, metrics, and presentations.
• Collaborate across functions to ensure all objectives are met.
• Assist with monitoring cost & schedule performance, support business management meetings and reporting to program leadership.
• Coordinate the efforts of SMT teams, including engineers, subcontracts administrators, supplier quality assurance representatives, logistics engineers, schedule planners, and cost/material planners.
• Earned value (EV) management of labor and material control accounts.
• Report earned value and supplier status to Program Managers, GSC managers, and IPT Management.
