Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems – Research & Advanced Design (R&AD) seeks a Senior Principal Systems Engineer for Melbourne, FL. The role involves technical planning, system integration, and V&V across the lifecycle with a Secret clearance requirement.

Responsibilities include translating customer requirements into total system solutions, performing analyses, and presenting findings at reviews and program boards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field with 8+ years of related experience.
• Master of Science in a STEM field with 6+ years of related experience or a PhD in STEM with 4+ years.
• Must possess or be eligible for a U.S. government Secret clearance (in-scope or Continuous Evaluation).
• Experience in MBSE and Architecture Development.
• Experience presenting technical approaches at reviews and boards.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation.
• Conduct cost, risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses across the system lifecycle.
• Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications; communicate results clearly.
