Job summary

PCL Construction, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a senior Project Manager to lead large-scale civil West projects from planning through closeout.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and field coordination, while shaping safety culture on site and guiding a diverse team. The role requires 10–15 years of progressive construction experience, a degree in engineering or construction management, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• 10-15 years of progressive construction experience, with leadership and mentoring skills preferred.
• Experience implementing a strong safety culture by health, safety, and environment principles and legislation.
• Knowledge of construction industry, materials, codes, and quality management practices.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills for budgets, risks, resources and schedules.
• Ability to monitor and forecast project resources and staffing.

Responsibilities

• Provides overall contract administration, technical expertise, and support for large or complex construction projects.
• Oversees safety plan development and promotes a safety culture on site.
• Oversees total construction to ensure design, budget, resources, quality, and schedule alignment.
• Offers value engineering proposals for functionality, cost, and schedule benefits.
• Monitors performance, cost forecasts, and schedule status.
• Negotiates subcontracts, major purchase orders, and progress payments.
• Manages contract documents and delivers project commissioning and closeout.
• Identifies and manages risk and opportunities on projects.
• Directs and mentors project team members; coordinates design progress and quality audits.
• Keeps stakeholders informed and manages expectations through clear communication.
