Job summary

AEP is seeking an experienced Project Manager with leadership in coordinating complex programs within a matrix environment at Indiana Michigan Power. Plan, execute, monitor, and close projects using Waterfall or Agile practices to achieve safety, cost, and schedule goals.

Responsibilities include stakeholder communication, risk management, and ensuring Zero Harm in all activities, while building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of qualified experience; or
• Associate's degree with 12 years of qualified experience; or
• High School Diploma/GED with 14 years of qualified experience (see below).
• PMP certification required unless waived by senior leadership.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Experience in project management, major construction, project controls, and related fields.
• Utilities, nuclear power, or IT systems experience is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage project activities with expert proficiency in Waterfall and Agile.
• Ensure safety and Zero Harm in the work environment.
• Develop and control project plans, schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Provide status updates and stakeholder presentations clearly and concisely.
• Foster relationships with internal/external customers, vendors and partners.
• Lead training and guidance to improve design, processes, and schedules.
