Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large, complex projects and supervise other Project Managers as needed. The role requires guiding project teams, managing budgets, and ensuring contract compliance while exceeding owner expectations.

The candidate will organize pre-construction planning, lead value engineering when appropriate, and oversee procurement, subcontracting, and scheduling to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of project management experience on Mission Critical construction projects.
• Strong ability to manage complex projects and lead project teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present to clients and stakeholders.
• Understanding of contract documents, change orders, and project budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and company procedures.
• Directly responsible for projected costs and profits for each project.
• Assist in preparing estimates and negotiating prime contracts and subcontracts.
• Develop Project Management Plans (PMP) and coordinate closeout procedures and warranty activities.
