Job summary

Jobot is hiring a Senior Project Manager with cold storage or food & beverage experience to lead complex projects in the Chicagoland area. You will manage all phases from conception through completion, coordinating design and construction with engineers and architects, while ensuring time, budget and quality targets are met.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in construction, large-scale projects, food processing and ground-up builds.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, materials and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with project management software tools.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

1. Overseeing all stages of project life cycle management from initiation to completion.
2. Managing the planning, design, and construction of cold storage facilities.
3. Coordinating with engineers, architects, and other construction and building specialists.
4. Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
5. Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
6. Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
7. Managing relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers.
8. Ensuring compliance with safety and building regulations.
9. Identifying and managing potential risks or obstacles.
10. Providing regular updates to senior management on project progress and challenges.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of 8 years of experience in construction - proven experience in managing large scale projects, particularly in food processing and ground up construction.
2. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or something similar.
3. A solid understanding of the construction industry, including processes, materials, and legal regulations.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
5. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
6. Proficiency in project management software tools.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
8. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
9. Professional Project Management (PMP) certification is a plus.
