GH Engage is seeking a Senior / Lead Project Manager to own major ground-up developments across Manhattan and the Bronx. You will lead from preconstruction through turnover, coordinating with executives, field teams, and city agencies to ensure on-time delivery in challenging NYC environments.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of construction management, a GC/CM-at-risk background, and a proven track record of managing $50M+ projects while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are partnering with a well-established NYC General Contractor & Construction Manager with a decades-long track record delivering complex high-rise residential and mixed-use developments throughout New York City.

With a strong backlog of upcoming work, they are seeking an experienced Senior / Lead Project Manager to take ownership of major ground-up projects across Manhattan and the Bronx.

Location: Manhattan & Bronx, NY

This role is ideal for a hands-on builder from a GC or CM-at-risk background who has successfully led large-scale projects from preconstruction through turnover and closeout.

The successful candidate will act as the operational lead on projects, working closely with Executive Leadership, Superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, ownership teams, and city agencies to drive successful project execution in challenging NYC environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full lifecycle project delivery from preconstruction through closeout
• Ownership of budgeting, forecasting, cost control & buyout processes
• Management of CPM schedules, sequencing & two-week look-aheads
• Oversight of subcontractor procurement, coordination & performance
• Leadership of Project Engineers, APMs & field teams
• Management of RFIs, submittals, change orders & client reporting
• Coordination with DOB, DOT, MTA and other NYC agencies as required
• Oversight of safety, quality control & compliance standards
• Client-facing leadership throughout all project phases
• Close coordination with field operations to maintain schedule and productivity

Requirements:

• 10+ years of construction management experience
• GC or CM-at-risk background required
• Experience managing projects valued at $50M+
• Strong understanding of NYC construction operations and logistics
• Ability to lead both office and field teams effectively
• Proficiency with scheduling, cost reporting & construction management software
• Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
