Job summary

Albany Beck is seeking an experienced Senior Futures Project Manager to join our New York team. You will drive end-to-end delivery of large-scale futures and clearing transformation initiatives for a major financial services client, coordinating across Front Office, Operations, Risk and Technology.

Based in New York, you will manage onboarding of exchange connectivity, clearing arrangements and expanding US FCM capabilities within a multi-year programme focused on trading and post-trade

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management in financial services or capital markets.
• Experience with Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) operating models and clearing.
• Proven ability to lead multi-workstream programmes across technology and business.
• Certification such as PMP or Prince2 is preferred.

Client Deployment Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Futures Project Manager to work with us here at Albany Beck, supporting one of our major financial services clients within its Global Futures and Clearing business. Based in New York, this role will play a key part in a large-scale business and technology transformation programme focused on enhancing futures trading, clearing and operational capabilities.

The successful candidate will lead the delivery of critical strategic initiatives across regulatory, operational and technology workstreams, including onboarding new exchange connectivity and clearing capabilities to support trading activities on the Borsa Italiana market, alongside programmes focused on establishing and expanding Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) capabilities within the United States.

Working closely with Front Office, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Technology teams, exchanges and clearing partners, the successful candidate will drive end-to-end project delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives within a multi-year transformation programme centred around the FIS GMI platform.

This role requires a highly experienced project manager with a strong background in listed derivatives, futures clearing, exchange connectivity and complex business transformation delivery within investment banking or capital markets environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic futures and clearing transformation initiatives across business and technology functions.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, governance and stakeholder communication across multiple workstreams.
• Coordinate the onboarding of new exchange connectivity and clearing arrangements to support expansion into new markets.
• Drive delivery of initiatives supporting the build-out and enhancement of US FCM capabilities.
• Partner closely with Front Office, Operations, Risk, Compliance and Technology teams to define and deliver business requirements.
• Work with external exchanges, clearing brokers, clearing houses and industry vendors to ensure successful programme execution.
• Support implementation and optimisation of processes and capabilities across the FIS GMI platform.
• Identify, manage and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies and delivery challenges.
• Prepare and present programme updates, status reports and governance materials to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure all project deliverables meet regulatory, operational, risk and control requirements.

Key Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of project management experience within financial services, capital markets or investment banking environments.
• Demonstrable experience working with Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) operating models and clearing processes.
• Experience managing exchange connectivity, market onboarding and clearing integration initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of futures trading lifecycle, clearing operations and associated risk and control frameworks.
• Experience working with FIS GMI or comparable futures and clearing platforms.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders.
• Strong programme governance, planning, budgeting and delivery management capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously within large, matrixed organisations.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Previous experience delivering exchange onboarding projects across European or global futures markets.
• Knowledge of Borsa Italiana market structure, clearing arrangements and operating models.
• Experience working with clearing houses, CCPs and futures exchanges.
• Knowledge of US regulatory requirements relating to futures trading and clearing.
• Experience delivering large-scale technology transformation programmes involving trading and post-trade platforms.
• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall or hybrid programme delivery environments.
• Professional project management certification such as PMP, Prince2 or equivalent.
