Job summary

Motion Recruitment seeks a Project Manager for a global bank in New York, focusing on Markets Risk and Transformation. This contract role with strong extension potential requires a hybrid schedule, three days onsite weekly, and a track record delivering complex risk-related programs.

You will work with senior stakeholders to drive regulatory and risk initiatives, including capital markets transformation and other regulatory components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/University degree in relevant field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10-15 years of Financial Services industry experience.
• Experience in Markets, Risk and Regulatory related projects/programs.
• Significant experience in Capital Markets Transformation.
• Experience with delivering IMA (Internal Models Approach) components (ES, NMRF, RFET, PLAT).
• Strong Market Risk experience and familiar with HVaR model management.
• Experience with FRTB and/or other material front office driven regulatory initiatives.
• Experience with derivatives trading, risk and P&L flows.
• Strong track record in strategic project management and delivering complex solutions.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills; able to provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Transformation / change management / PM experience with a focus on Capital Markets initiatives to address regulatory, audit, risk and control issues.
• Working knowledge of Markets business, products, regulatory capital and Market Risk (VaR) or Credit risk.
• Ability to influence and build collaborative relationships across Global Markets front-to-back stakeholders.
• Manage multiple stakeholders to derive business requirements and translate into technical requirements.
• Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives with Risk Managers, Product Owners, Front Office, Product Control and Technology teams.
• Identify challenges and resolve risks and issues in a timely and well-articulated manner.
• Produce accurate and insightful project update materials and artifacts.
• Build strong relationships, adopting a joined up approach to support execution of programs.

Required Skills & Experience

What You Will Be Doing

• Transformation / change management / PM experience with a focus on Capital Markets initiatives to address regulatory, audit, risk and control and / or risk management issues
• Working knowledge of Markets business, products, regulatory capital and Market Risk (VaR) or Credit risk
• Ability to influence and build collaborative relationships across Global Markets front-to-back stakeholders, e.g., trading desk, finance, operations, technology, risk management
• Manage mutliple stakeholders to derive business requirements and assist Technology in understanding to allow them to translate into technical requirements
• Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives, including working closely with Risk Managers, Product Owners, Front Office, Product Control and Technology teams
• Identify challenges and proactively seek to resolve or escape risk and issues in a timely and well- articulated manner to the projects by engaging relevant stakeholders..
• Produce accurate and insightful project update materials and artifacts, tailoring to various forums and committees
• Build strong relationships, adopting a joined up approach, to support the execution of programs
