Job summary

Apex Infrastructure Consultants is seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of complex builds in Maryland. You will own the full lifecycle from concept through commissioning, coordinating diverse teams and stakeholders to meet schedule and budget.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in construction project management, strong MEP coordination skills, and proven leadership. This role requires managing multiple concurrent projects and communicating project health

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• Strong command of construction processes, MEP coordination, and project delivery.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at once.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the full data center lifecycle from concept to closeout.
• Lead day-to-day construction oversight and report project health to executive stakeholders.
• Drive design from Basis of Design through construction documents.
• Coordinate engineering teams, site developers, general contractors, and technical vendors.
• Manage data hall fit-out: busway, PDUs, fiber infrastructure, Cat6 networks, server cabinets, and hot aisle containment.
• Track cost, schedule, scope, and risk across multiple projects.
• Review and manage RFIs, engineering questions, and submittals.
• Track engineering deliverables, equipment deliveries, installations, and commissioning milestones.
• Run contractor, developer, and engineering meetings to keep every stakeholder aligned.
• Build and manage internal and external design teams.

WHAT YOU BRING

• 7+ years of construction project management experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at once
• Strong leadership, communication, and organization skills

STRONGLY PREFERRED

• Data center design and/or construction experience (hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise)
• Experience on other complex builds: hospitals, labs, high-rise commercial, manufacturing plants/fabs, power plants, or substations
• Commissioning experience (Levels 1-5)
• PE, RA, or NCARB (preferred, not required)
