Job summary

A leading construction firm in Grand Rapids is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex, long-term construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 10–12 years of project management experience, an active Journeyman's license, and a strong understanding of electrical systems. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate closely with superintendents, foremen, field crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Serve as a key point of contact with owners, general contractors, inspectors, and AHJs.
  • Ensure work complies with applicable codes, contract documents, and safety standards.
  • Identify risk, manage scope, and drive solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Support and mentor project managers and field leadership.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to help lead large, long-term, high-visibility projects. This role is ideal for a licensed Journeyman who has progressed from the field into senior project leadership and is comfortable managing complex work from preconstruction through closeout.

This position will initially focus on a major multi-year project, with expanded leadership responsibilities as additional work comes online.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex construction projects
  • Manage schedules (CPM), budgets, forecasting, and cost controls
  • Coordinate closely with superintendents, foremen, field crews, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation

  • Ensure work complies with applicable codes, contract documents, and safety standards
