Job summary

Summit Construction Advisors in Dallas seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial electrical construction from preconstruction through closeout. The role oversees client relationships, financial performance, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and overall project success.

The ideal candidate will mentor Project Managers and Engineers, manage contracts and change orders, and partner with field leadership to align office and field operations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of PM experience in commercial electrical construction.
• Experience managing large, complex electrical projects.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and project controls.
• Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proven ability to build long-term client relationships.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of commercial electrical construction projects.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost controls, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain project schedules while coordinating resources to meet milestones.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, GCs, architects, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure work meets safety and project requirements.
• Review drawings, contracts, and documents to identify risks and ensure execution.
• Manage contract administration including change orders, RFIs, submittals, and documentation.
• Partner with field leadership to align office and jobsite operations.
• Identify risks early and implement cost- and schedule-saving solutions.
• Ensure projects meet quality and safety standards.
• Mentor and support Project Managers and Engineers.
• Provide regular project updates and executive-level communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of commercial electrical construction projects.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost controls, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain project schedules while coordinating resources to meet critical milestones.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents to identify risks and ensure successful execution.
• Manage contract administration, including change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Partner closely with field leadership to ensure alignment between office and jobsite operations.
• Identify project risks early and implement solutions that minimize schedule and financial impacts.
• Ensure projects meet quality expectations while maintaining company safety standards.
• Mentor and support Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other project team members.
• Provide regular project updates, financial reporting, and executive-level communication.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Project Management experience within commercial electrical construction.
• Demonstrated success managing large commercial, mission critical, healthcare, education, industrial, or other complex electrical construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and project controls.
• Experience leading multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, construction sequencing, and field operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
• Experience with Design-Build and Design-Assist delivery methods.
• Experience mentoring project teams and developing future leaders.
• OSHA 30 or other safety certifications are a plus.
