Job summary

MXI Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of data center projects in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The successful candidate will act as Owner's Representative, coordinating architects, engineers, general and specialty contractors, vendors, and commissioning agents from pre-construction through closeout.

You will oversee planning, design management, constructability reviews, procurement, value engineering, and the development of project execution

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive construction project management experience.
• Extensive data center construction experience from pre-construction to closeout.
• General contracting experience, incl. managing subcontractors and Owner/Owner's Representative relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with strong PM tools proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Owner's Representative from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, GCs, subs, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Lead planning, design management, constructability reviews, procurement, and VE.
• Oversee construction to deliver safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, change orders, contracts, and financial performance.
• Develop master schedules and monitor critical path; mitigate risks.
• Provide technical oversight of electrical, mechanical, cooling, UPS, HV systems.
• Coordinate commissioning, testing, punch lists, documentation, training, handover.
• Build relationships with Owners, contractors, utilities, authorities; exec reporting.

MXI Partners are working with an established Owner's Representative firm in Texas. Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in data center construction and general contracting to lead the end-to-end delivery of some of the most exciting mission critical developments across the DFW area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Owner's Representative, leading project delivery from pre-construction through construction, commissioning, and final closeout.
• Manage and coordinate architects, engineers, General Contractors, specialty contractors, vendors, commissioning agents, and other key project stakeholders.
• Lead project planning, design management, constructability reviews, procurement, value engineering, and the development of project execution strategies.
• Oversee construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Manage project budgets, cost forecasts, change orders, contracts, payment applications, commercial risks, and overall financial performance.
• Develop and maintain master schedules, monitor critical path activities, and proactively identify and mitigate project and schedule risks.
• Provide strong technical oversight across electrical, mechanical, controls, cooling, generators, UPS, medium/high-voltage systems, and other critical data center infrastructure.
• Coordinate commissioning, integrated systems testing, punch list completion, documentation, training, and operational handover.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with Owners, contractors, consultants, utilities, authorities, and other stakeholders while providing clear executive-level reporting and communication.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of progressive construction project management experience.
• Extensive experience managing data center construction projects from pre-construction through completion, with responsibility for overseeing general and primary contractors.
• Demonstrated general contracting experience, including managing subcontractors and owner/Owner's Representative relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong technical proficiency across a range of project management programs and tools.
