Job summary

M.C. Dean, Building Intelligence, is seeking a Project Leader 2 in Virginia to lead multi‑million dollar electrical and power systems renovations.

You will guide project teams, coordinate schedules, manage budgets, and ensure safety and compliance for mission‑critical facilities. Candidates should have 10+ years in construction or contracting, 7+ years PM experience with Master’s preferred, and proficiency with MS Project, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and Excel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction or related field with a Bachelor’s Degree.
• 7+ years PM experience; Master’s in CM/Engineering preferred.
• Experience with Federal/Local/Commercial/Government and Transportation markets.
• Leadership of diverse teams on budgets $5M-$150M+ in Electrical/Power systems.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, Accubid, MS Project, Primavera P6, Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and mentor members to support project milestones.
• Prepare project documentation including schedules and resource plans.
• Coordinate project kick-off meetings and define work packages.
• Develop WBS with named tasks and baseline resources.
• Execute site surveys, cost studies, and budget forecasting.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement best practices.
• Track scope and performance against plan and manage variances.
• Collaborate with customer to manage project schedule.
• Ensure punch-list, as-built drawings, and training materials are complete.
• Maintain positive partnerships with leadership and field teams.
• Lead permits and inspections throughout project timeline.
