Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a large complex project or multiple smaller projects, serving as the primary point of contact for the project and coaching the team.

The role emphasizes client relationship management, strategy development with senior leaders, and oversight of budgets, change orders, and schedules across multidisciplinary teams. Strong CAD/ERP/Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

Four-year degree in Engineering or applicable experience.
Minimum 10 years’ experience.
Expert knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and related design engineering aspects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees, clients and contractors.
Proven ability to manage multiple larger complex projects.
Strong public speaking ability.
Ability to present proposals to clients.
Strong computer skills including CAD, ERP and Excel.

Responsibilities

Develops client relationships by providing project status updates to client and leadership.
Partners with management to develop and implement project strategies.
Manages budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc. for project.
Participates in project meetings with internal departments to discuss project schedule and issues as needed.
Partners with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction of project is on schedule.
Delegates work and mentors project team, providing coaching and performance feedback as necessary.
