Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking an experienced interior design leader for a major Mayo Clinic healthcare facility project. Lead the interior design team, drive design development from pursuit to construction administration, and coordinate with architecture, engineering and consultants.

The role requires advanced design and technical skills, NCIDQ preferred, and the ability to mentor staff while maintaining client relationships. Travel is required, and the office can be Chicago or Buffalo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or relevant field.
• Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.
• Ability to provide interior design leadership across multiple projects.
• Strong design, storytelling and technical skills; knowledge of building and life safety codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the client and project team in establishing project goals and vision.
• Provide project interior design leadership across multiple projects.
• Lead the design development of the project from Pursuit through Construction Administration.
• Coordinate design work with architecture, engineering and consultants.
• Mentor less experienced interior design staff.
• Lead and participate in marketing activities, including proposals and interviews.
• Participate in construction administration activities, including site visits and submittal reviews.
