Job summary

CannonDesign seeks a seasoned interior design leader to guide client teams on complex healthcare projects, starting with Mayo Clinic’s campus assignment. You will set project goals, lead interior design development across phases, and coordinate with architecture and engineering disciplines to achieve codes and standards.

You will mentor staff, drive FFE development, and present concepts to clients while advancing Living-Centered Design across projects. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Interior Design/Interior Architecture or related field.
• NCIDQ certification preferred.
• Ability to lead interior design across multiple projects.
• Strong design, storytelling and technical skills with knowledge of building and life safety codes.
• Excellent presentation, organizational, collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships; experience leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to client and project team in establishing goals and vision.
• Lead interior design across multiple projects through all design phases.
• Develop and document interior design objectives and spatial requirements.
• Coordinate design work with other disciplines and ensure code compliance.
• Mentor less experienced interior design staff and promote design leadership.
• Lead late-stage development of FFE and design visualization materials.
• Participate in client meetings and marketing activities.
