Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking an experienced interior design leader to guide on a high-profile healthcare project at Mayo Clinic and future assignments. You will steer design development, coordinate with architecture and engineering teams, and mentor staff while maintaining client relationships and design excellence.

The role requires at least 8 years of experience, a design degree, and strong proficiency with Revit, Enscape, and CAD tools. Travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Interior Design or related field is required.
• Minimum 8 years of related experience in interior design.
• NCIDQ certification is preferred.
• Ability to lead across multiple projects.
• Strong design, storytelling, and technical skills; knowledge of building and life-safety codes.
• Excellent presentation, organizational and collaboration skills; capable of client relationship management.
• Experience leading a high-performing team.
• Must be a critical thinker and highly analytical.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to client and project team establishing goals and vision.
• Lead interior design across multiple projects.
• Oversee design development through all project phases.
• Coordinate design work and ensure code compliance.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering and consultants.
• Lead marketing activities including proposals and interviews.
• Mentor junior interior design staff and promote design leadership.
