Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking an experienced interior design leader to manage client relationships and guide multiple interior projects in a healthcare setting. The role focuses on design development, coordination with architecture and engineering, and delivering results with strong visualization and documentation skills.

The candidate will lead a 2.0+ million square foot Mayo Clinic healthcare facility assignment from design through construction administration, travel as required, and mentoring team

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
• NCIDQ certification preferred.
• Ability to lead across multiple projects.
• Strong design storytelling and technical skills; knowledge of building and life-safety codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the client and project team in establishing project goals and vision.
• Provide interior design leadership across multiple projects.
• Lead the design development of interior spaces through all project phases.
• Coordinate project design work and code compliance.
• Mentor less experienced interior design staff.
• Lead development of furniture, fixtures and equipment (FFE) across phases.
• Participate in marketing activities, proposals, and interviews.
• Site visits, submittals reviews, and punch list in construction administration.
