Turner Construction Company in San Antonio, TX seeks an experienced Project Finance Accountant to lead day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting for construction projects. You will ensure GAAP compliance, manage AR/AP activities, and coordinate with project teams on financial health.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance and 3+ years of related experience, with strong policy knowledge and mentoring abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 3+ years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting policies.
• Experience with AP/AR processes and contract terms.
• Ability to mentor team on policies and workflows.
• Experience delivering audit-ready documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting for construction projects.
• Be primary contact for project finance accounting questions and escalations.
• Mentor accounting staff on Turner policies and system workflows.
• Provide training using established materials and on-the-job instruction.
• Coordinate with SSO on AR/AP activities and feedback.
• Participate in process improvements, including AI-based workflow enhancements.
• Lead month-end close and ensure accurate revenue recognition for owner invoicing.
