Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks a Senior Accountant to lead all fiscal management and financial administration for an advanced technology project in Northern Louisiana, with travel 90-100%. You will ensure adherence to Turner policies and GAAP, manage billing and accounts payable/receivable, and report profitability or risk to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with 3 years of experience or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of GAAP for timely reporting.
• Understand contract terms’ profitability and risk implications.
• Able to perform cost analysis procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with financial systems and MS Office (Excel/Word).
• Self-starter with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment.
• Independent judgment with problem resolution ability.
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and oversee billing and accounts receivable to meet contract requirements.
• Audit client billing and project ledgers for GAAP/compliance.
• Manage accounts payable, including vendor invoices and tax handling.
• Handle subcontractor invoicing, lien waivers, and insurance checks.
• Oversee month-end close and capitalization of project costs.
• Update project assets and insurance documentation with the team.
• Coordinate project closeout and final payments with subcontractors.
• Report cash position, assets, liabilities and unfunded work in place.
• Assist with internal/external audits and respond to requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
