Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited degree program in Accounting, Finance, or related field with minimum 4 years related experience
• Construction industry experience desirable
• Advanced knowledge of finance policies and procedures with thorough application of GAAP
• Familiar with G&A cost allocation, budgeting, and forecasting methods for construction office operations
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable best practices
• Experience as supervisor/team lead and ability to influence without authority
• Ability to manage competing activities, meet deadlines, and interpret financial data

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee procedures supporting accounting operations for complex construction projects
• Maintain and update project-specific training to support project accounting staff
• Communicate financial strategies and performance to Finance and project management
• Oversee client contract analysis, billing terms, reimbursable structures, and billing rates
• Implement and enforce internal controls for A/P and A/R accuracy and policy compliance
• Strengthen segregation of duties and approval workflows per SAAM
• Direct audit processes for client billing and project ledgers for GAAP compliance
• Oversee revenue recognition and job cost accounting for complex arrangements
• Manage deliverables for internal and external audits including JV and client audits
• Own project cash flow strategy and coordinate with client finance teams
• Oversee subcontractor invoicing, approvals, insurance, payroll requirements, and lien waivers
• Oversee month-end close activities for projects to support accurate owner invoicing and accruals
