Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead project accounting and financial reporting for construction projects. You will ensure GAAP compliance, timeliness of labor and expense recognition, and collaboration with project teams to manage billing and cash flow.

You will mentor accounting staff, support audits, and implement process improvements across AR/AP, WIP, and close activities. This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in construction or corporate finance.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting skills.
• Experience with AP/AR, billing, and contract terms.
• Ability to mentor staff and enforce internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for project Finance accounting questions and issues.
• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting for projects.
• Ensure compliance with Turner financial policies and contracts.
• Coordinate with SSO on AR/AP activities and billing.
• Support month-end close, cash management, and variance analysis.
• Promote process improvements including AI-enabled workflows.
