Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer for an onsite role in Winston-Salem, NC. You will drive the engineering development and delivery of aircraft seating products, coordinating with external customers and design firms, and ensuring schedules are met.

You will leverage NX, SolidWorks, Pro-E, and Catia to design, modify, and release drawings, BOMs, and verification documentation as part of a cross-functional team focused on safe, cost-efficient, and high-quality

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Experience with CAD software such as NX, SolidWorks, Pro-E, and/or Catia required.
• Experience with full product life cycle development using 3D modeling in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering development and delivery of aircraft seating products throughout the lifecycle.
• Develop schedules/plans and support adherence to them.
• Create and modify design drawings and BOMs using CAD tools.
• Collaborate with design teams to produce details, assemblies and manufacturing docs.
