Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal level Project Engineering professional for our Interiors Services & Specialty Products team in Winston-Salem, NC. The role focuses on mid-to-large scale projects to modify and upgrade aircraft seating and interior features, coordinating with program management, procurement, global engineering, and certification teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
• U.S. Person required due to ITAR/EAR access requirements.
• Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter software is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for all design information and coordinate design resources during project execution.
• Mentor the design team and propose solutions for customer-upgrade challenges.
• Represent engineering in customer design reviews, in-person and virtual.
• Record delays, changes, and impacts to schedule; propose countermeasures to recover timelines.
• Pursue cost-saving opportunities to maximize project profitability.
