Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is hiring a Principal Electrical Project Engineer for First Class Seating. This onsite role is based in Winston-Salem, NC, and focuses on leading complex electrical projects from inception through completion.

The candidate will mentor engineers, liaise with management, and ensure design concepts meet program goals. RTX emphasizes strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 8 years relevant experience or an advanced degree with at least 5 years.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Working knowledge of aircraft electrical interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develops project plans, schedules, and budgets for small to mid-size projects and ensures adherence to plan and budget.
• Records and documents delays, changes in scope, and incidents impacting scope or schedule.
• Pursues cost-saving opportunities to maximize project profitability.
• Performs critical path analysis and implements workaround plans for project completion.
• Conducts meetings and presents plans and progress relating to business aspects.
