Job summary

MOHR Talent in Acton, MA is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead the design and development of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure. The role offers a direct hire path with a $165,000 annual compensation and a $2,500 sign-on bonus, plus a flexible schedule with field visits.

You will own complex projects from concept to construction, collaborate with regulatory agencies, clients, and multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior engineers while using AutoCAD and hydraulic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant engineering experience.
• At least 5 years of hydraulic design experience involving water and wastewater systems.
• Experience in pump station design, including wet wells, pump systems, electrical components, and control systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, hydraulic modeling software, and control system design.
• Experience designing municipal water distribution, wastewater collection, and treatment infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, standards, and permitting processes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with municipal officials and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydraulic design projects for municipal water distribution, wastewater collection, and treatment facilities.
• Design pump stations from concept through commissioning, including wet wells and controls.
• Develop plans, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and environmental standards.
• Represent clients in meetings with municipal officials and stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Oversee projects end-to-end from planning through construction.
• Utilize AutoCAD, hydraulic models, and emerging technologies for sustainable solutions.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients to ensure project success.
• Conduct site visits, construction observations, and progress reviews.
• Build relationships with municipal clients and community stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and design efficiency.
