Job summary

Moog seeks a Sr. Project Engineer in Buffalo, NY. You will lead cross-functional teams across engineering and program management to ensure successful lifecycle execution for defense/aerospace projects. You will mentor junior engineers and serve as the primary technical contact for customers.

Your role emphasizes EVM, risk management, and balancing technical performance with cost, schedule, and producibility within Moog’s lifecycle processes.

Qualifications

• U.S. DoD security clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years in a similar aerospace/defense role with multi-project leadership.
• Experience leading full-lifecycle development and mentoring engineers.
• Strong understanding of EVM, cost vs. schedule, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Support full program lifecycle and ensure execution readiness.
• Provide technical direction to customers handling ambiguous requirements.
• Align technical solutions with business objectives and roadmaps.
• Coordinate with engineering, product, and leadership for NPI efforts.
• Deliver on scope, budget, and schedule commitments to customers.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and drive resolution of issues.
