Job summary

Moog Space and Defense Group seeks a Project Engineer in Buffalo, NY to provide engineering and project leadership for actuation and avionics programs. The role reports to the Senior Engineering Manager and requires onsite presence in East Aurora, NY.

You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate design, analysis and testing, and interact with customers as the main technical contact. A DoD clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5 years of engineering experience.
• 3+ years leading or supporting technical development projects.
• Experience in design, analysis, development and production of electro-mechanical and/or hydraulic hardware.
• Experience with component design, development and verification testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication of technical and programmatic information.

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership to cross-functional and cross-site teams on production and development programs.
• Support IPT oversight of technical, cost and schedule performance.
• Serve as lead engineer and primary technical contact for the customer.
• Perform trade studies and analyses to validate solutions.
• Document designs, analyses and test results clearly.
• Lead a cross-functional engineering team and coordinate designers, drafters and technicians.
• Support bids and proposals for Actuation & Avionics unit; travel as needed.
