Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Sr Project Engineer, Test Equipment to design and develop hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, servo-mechanism, and electro-pneumatic test devices supporting Moog products for defense, space, and commercial programs.

You will lead early design concepts, perform trade studies, prepare cost estimates, and coordinate with drafters, technicians, and program teams to ensure on-time delivery within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• 3 years of leading technical projects or technical initiatives.
• Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• Experience with design, analysis, development and production of complex electromechanical hardware.
• Strong analytical skills and self-starting instincts.
• Experience with component design, development and verification testing.

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor engineering project budgets and schedules.
• Validate conceptual problem solutions via trade studies and analyses.
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates and write the technical volume.
• Coordinate and support the assembly of test equipment.
• Mentor younger engineers and work with program teams.
• Lead design process and provide technical leadership within Moog’s scope.
