Moog Space and Defense Group is seeking a Project Engineer to provide engineering and project leadership for space actuation and avionics development and production programs. The role is on-site in the Buffalo/East Aurora area, coordinating cross-functional teams to meet milestones and customer expectations.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree with several years of engineering and project leadership experience, plus the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent STEM degree.
• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• 3+ years leading or supporting technical development projects.
• Experience with design, analysis, development and production of electro-mechanical and hydraulic hardware.
• Experience with component design, development and verification testing.
• Ability to communicate technical and programmatic information and manage priorities.
• Must be able to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsabilités

• Provide engineering leadership for development and production projects.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and Program Management.
• Lead technical oversight of cost and schedule performance.
• Serve as main technical point of contact to customer.
• Document designs, analyses and test results.
• Coordinate cross-functional team of designers, drafters, analysts, technicians, and manufacturing engineers.
• Support bids and proposals.
• Travel occasionally to support customers.
