Entergy is seeking a talented Project Engineer to join the Power Development engineering team in The Woodlands, TX. The role focuses on developing standards for new gas power generation projects and ensuring designs are complete, accurate, and constructible.

You will collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams, promote safety, lead technical open-book processes with contractors, and coordinate regulatory and audit activities.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
• Advanced degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in engineering design, construction, or operation of power systems.

Aufgaben

• Promotes safe behavior and adheres to project safety rules.
• Maintains and updates engineering design basis documents for new generation projects.
• Evaluates project proposals to ensure conformance to Entergy standards and objectives.
• Supports regulatory interactions and submittal development with state commissions.
• Identifies engineered safety controls and hazard removal during design.
• Leads cross-functional teams with SMEs, Owners Engineers, EPC contractors, and consultants.
• Ensures engineering documentation supports audits and prudency reviews.
• Manages engineering contracts outside the EPC scope and oversees change-management processes.
