Job summary

Entergy is seeking a talented Project Engineer to join the Power Development engineering team, driving design standards for new gas generation plants and ensuring deliverables are complete, accurate, and constructible. This role partners with project managers and stakeholders to advance safe, reliable, and economical power projects.

Qualifications

• Excellent technical writing and verbal communication abilities.
• Expert knowledge in engineering fundamentals across disciplines.
• Experience in power generation design, construction, or operations.
• Familiarity with QA/QC protocols and construction methods.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Promotes safe behavior and enforces project safety rules.
• Maintains engineering design basis documents for new generation projects.
• Supports technical evaluation of proposals ensuring standards alignment.
• Participates in regulatory submissions and interfaces with regulators.
• Leads cross-functional teams with SMEs, EPCs, and consultants.
• Coordinates with Project Managers to follow the Project Delivery System.
• Writes or reviews Records of Decision and risk mitigation documentation.
• Acts as Contract Manager for non-EPC engineering contracts.
