Job summary

McClure Engineering Company is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead critical projects and mentor the team within the Development group. The role emphasizes technical leadership, quality deliverables, and guiding less experienced engineers.

The Senior PE will drive design, QA/QC, and project milestones while collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams and clients. A PE license and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or related field is required.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading design teams.
• Proven ability to manage project delivery, schedules, budgets, and staffing.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery team by delegating technical/design tasks and coaching.
• Lead design reviews and milestone meetings; manage budgets and staffing.
• Provide QA/QC for reports, plans and specifications to industry standards.
• Mentor and develop junior team members; transfer knowledge.
• Coordinate with outside disciplines and stakeholders; document lessons learned.
• Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
