Job summary

Yorkshire Water is recruiting a Senior Project Engineer to join the Asset Delivery team. You’ll provide technical supervision, manage a team of Project Technicians, and coordinate ICA project design and delivery while ensuring CDM and safety compliance.

You’ll drive financial discipline and commercial awareness across projects, aligning with company specifications and industry standards. The role offers hybrid working with site presence as needed.

Qualifications

• ICA apprenticeship or engineering degree or equivalent.
• Understands the principles of control of works - Permits, POWRA, RAMS etc.
• Understands the major processes and the effects/role of ICA equipment in this
• Has broad experience with electrical, ICA, mechanical and process equipment and can use this experience to produce engineered solutions to resolve business risks
• Has thorough understanding of CDM regulations and their practical application

Responsibilities

• Provide technical supervision and line management of a team of Project Technicians.
• Technically manage and coordinate the design and safe delivery of ICA projects within the Specialist Projects portfolio.
• Ensure delivery of all projects complies with CDM regulations, undertaking the role of Principal Contractor and supporting Client & Principal Designer.
• Ensure adherence to Yorkshire Water Engineering specifications and documentation.
• Drive high standards in health and safety, risk management and control of work to meet Yorkshire Water safety policy.
• Ensure robust financial management and commercial awareness underpins all decisions.
