Job summary

HRG is seeking a Project Engineer specialized in Water & Wastewater to deliver complex water and wastewater projects from our York, PA office. You will lead design efforts, prepare plans and reports, and ensure projects meet budget and schedule while upholding quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in water and wastewater engineering.
• Professional Engineering (PE) licensure or ability to obtain it within 6 months is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling, process design, and industry-standard software.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to water and wastewater systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform engineering design for water and wastewater infrastructure, including treatment facilities, pumping stations, and conveyance systems.
• Prepare and review detailed plans, specifications, and technical reports for permitting and approvals.
• Perform and validate complex hydraulic and process calculations using advanced engineering software.
• Ensure assigned engineering tasks are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
• Support client communication and coordination with regulatory agencies.
• Assist with proposal development and technical input for business development efforts.
