Job summary

Matrix PDM Engineering seeks a Senior Project Engineer I to lead the overall execution of engineering for assigned projects or proposals. This role is the primary technical contact on the project with the client and may serve as the Project Manager on smaller projects.

You will monitor and coordinate engineering to ensure contract scope and quality requirements are met, support schedule development, and ensure disciplines stay on scope. Overtime and travel are required for project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in any engineering discipline from ABET accredited university required.
• 6+ years of experience leading multiple disciplines including mechanical, structural, electrical and control systems in the execution of EPC Projects and Proposals.
• Described experience with engineered fixed equipment including above ground storage tanks and low temp (LNG, ammonia, etc.).
• Ability to understand client specifications, procurement, commissioning and start-up standards, documentation, vendor data approvals, etc.
• Strong management skills with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Overtime and travel will be required.

• Ensures work stays within scope and as-sold intent of the project.
• Implements approved project changes and communicates schedule impact to discipline leads.
• Verifies discipline project quality processes are followed.
• Holds design coordination meetings and ensures inter-discipline coordination.
