Job summary

Top Echelon Software LLC in Savannah, GA area is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for a multiyear I-95 widening project. You’ll lead the engineering efforts on highway and bridge scope, manage submittals, RFIs, schedules, and cost control in coordination with the owner and DOT inspectors.

The role offers a path to Project Manager and relocation is welcome for candidates with DOT experience, Primavera P6 proficiency, and a hands-on field/office approach to work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project engineering experience on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
• Hands on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports and change orders
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office
• Bridge experience (structures, foundations, drilled shafts or piling) is a plus
• SCDOT, GDOT or other state DOT experience is a plus
• EIT or PE is a plus
• Based in the Savannah area or ready to relocate for a multiyear project

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope from start to closeout
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications
• Track cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries
• Work with the owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements
• Mentor the project and field engineers on the team
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent, with real time in the field on bridge and roadway work
