Job summary

Job Juncture in Savannah, GA is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for a major multiyear I-95 widening project. This role oversees the engineering side of highway and bridge work, coordinating with the owner and DOT inspectors.

You will manage submittals, RFIs, cost reports, and scheduling in Primavera P6, while mentoring field engineers and coordinating subcontractors and material deliveries on site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project engineering experience on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports and change orders.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.
• Bridge experience and DOT exposure are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage submittals and RFIs from start to closeout.
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications.
• Track cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts.
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Work with the owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Mentor the project and field engineers on the team.
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent, in the field on bridge and roadway work.
