Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC seeks a Senior Project Engineer for a major I-95 widening project in the Savannah, GA area. You’ll lead the engineering effort on heavy civil highway and bridge work, coordinating with DOT inspectors, designers and field teams.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy civil highway/bridge, a Civil Engineering-related degree, and hands-on submittals, RFIs, costs and schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Office. Relocation to Savannah is welcome.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project engineering experience on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Hands on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports and change orders.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.
• Bridge experience is a plus.
• DOT experience is a plus.
• Based in the Savannah area or ready to relocate for a multiyear project.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope from start to closeout
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications
• Track cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries
• Work with the owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements
• Mentor the project and field engineers on the team
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent, with real time in the field on bridge and roadway work
