Modern Machining Solutions Inc. in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Senior Project Engineer to support delivery of a major transportation and mass transit infrastructure project.

The role collaborates with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and leadership team, with duties across project controls, cost tracking, contract administration, and closeout. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in large-scale heavy civil, rail, transit, or infrastructure projects, and a strong grasp of commercial and technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of construction industry experience.
• Experience with large, complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Experience with project cost tracking, change management, and financial reporting.
• Ability to analyze labor costs, quantities, production, and project performance.
• Strong understanding of construction project controls and contract administration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with Project Managers, Superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, owners, and field personnel.

Responsabilités

• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in the execution of large-scale transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, and project requirements.
• Track, prepare, review, and process: Change Proposal Requests, Change Orders, Potential Change Orders, Owner Payment Applications, Claims & Supporting Documentation.
• Assist with identifying changes in project scope and developing supporting documentation for additional compensation and/or schedule impacts.
• Monitor project costs and maintain accurate cost and production reports.
• Assist project leadership with cost forecasting and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with field operations to verify installed quantities and completed work.
• Assist with procurement, subcontractor coordination, material tracking, and project documentation.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, drawing revisions, and other technical documentation as required.
• Research technical and quality control issues and coordinate appropriate solutions with project leadership.
