Job summary

Zaddy Solutions in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support a major transportation infrastructure project. You will work with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and leadership to manage project controls, change management, cost tracking, and closeout.

The role requires experience on large-scale heavy civil or transit projects and a strong grasp of contracts, plans, specifications, and cost forecasting. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, electrical engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of construction industry experience.
• Experience with large, complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Experience with cost tracking, change management, and financial reporting.
• Ability to analyze labor costs, quantities, production, and project performance.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with PMs, superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, owners and field personnel.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in the execution of large-scale transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts and project requirements.
• Track, prepare, review, and process change proposals, change orders, owner pay applications, and claims documentation.
• Assist with identifying changes in project scope and developing supporting documentation for compensation or schedule impacts.
• Monitor project costs and maintain cost and production reports.
• Assist with cost forecasting and financial reporting.
• Analyze labor costs, quantities, production, and project performance.
• Coordinate with field operations to verify installed quantities and completed work.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, drawing revisions, procurement, and project documentation.
