Job summary

RISINGSUN TECHNOLOGIES in Greenville, SC is seeking a Project Engineer to lead technical coordination and engineering execution for generator projects. You will serve as the technical liaison between customers, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) representatives, and internal teams to ensure equipment and design documentation meet contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university, or a high school diploma/GED with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Engineering, Design Engineering, and/or Field Engineering related to generator projects.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong technical coordination, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical project management, engineering coordination, and issue resolution for generator projects.
• Serve as primary contact for customer technical inquiries, change requests, and project communications.
• Conduct customer kickoff meetings and design liaison meetings with customers and EPC representatives.
• Review contract documentation and communicate project requirements to engineering teams.
• Evaluate cost and schedule impacts of scope changes and implement approved change orders.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, supply chain, suppliers, manufacturing, and field teams.
• Resolve cross-functional design issues and manage engineering schedule risks to prevent delays.
• Manage engineering budgets and provide quarterly Estimates at Completion (EACs) to Finance.
• Provide technical guidance to project management and applications engineering teams.
• Present project risks, issue resolutions, and corrective action plans to management.
• Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement in design and project execution.
