Job summary

System One, Inc. in Greenville, SC is seeking a Project Engineer for a Direct Hire, hybrid role. You will support the Project Manager, oversee major construction activities, coordinate materials, equipment, and labor, and help manage project costs.

This position emphasizes collaboration with architects, designers, owners, and field personnel, handling RFIs and submittals, ensuring compliance with plans, drawings, and specifications, and contributing to quality control metrics.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical.
• 5+ years experience in commercial projects.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Exposure to MS Office (Word, Excel, Project), AutoCAD, Revit and Blue Beam.
• Minimum experience of 0 years.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and oversee major aspects of construction work, including organizing the acquisition of materials, equipment, and workers.
• Plan for costs and support the Project Manager and Superintendent on various tasks.
• Coordinate with project architects, designers, owners, and field personnel.
• Generate RFIs and submittals.
• May be responsible for bid analysis, constructability reviews, and permit processing.
• Inspect all work to assure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Offer technical information to project supervisor to ensure work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
• Have a general understanding of project budget and assist with buyouts.
• Monitor and track project quality control metrics and activities on a regular basis, provide timely and accurate quality reports, and raise issues to PM or Superintendent as appropriate.
• Plan and organize construction engineering projects from conception to completion.
• Generate project punch list and closeout documentation.
