Job summary

Lithium Americas seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead early-stage studies and sustaining capital projects from its Reno, Nevada office. You will coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, develop deliverables, evaluate options, and prepare decision-ready materials for senior management.

The role supports a future power strategy and requires travel to site locations based on project needs. Reporting to the Senior Director, Engineering & Services, you will ensure compliance with codes and permits

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary technical work.
• Strong analytical, written, verbal, presentation and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership for early-stage studies and capital projects.
• Advance concepts through FEL/stage-gate with clear decision-support materials.
• Coordinate inputs across Engineering, Operations, Permitting, Procurement and others.
• Develop scopes, schedules, cost estimates and risk assessments with project controls.
• Support design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover activities.
• Promote safe, environmentally responsible design and compliance with standards.
