Careermine is seeking a Mining Engineer to plan and execute engineering duties for a development surface lithium mine, from construction through production. You will work daily with operations, corporate engineering, and contractors to track progress and report variances.

The role requires a BS in a related field and 5–10 years of mining experience, with skills in AutoCAD, Vulcan, and project scheduling. Relocation to Winnemucca, NV may be provided.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of Science inMining Engineering or related field.
• Construction/project management experience desirable.
• 5–10 years mining engineer experience in surface mining.

Aufgaben

• Track production/construction activities and compare to plan.
• Update short-range plans to maintain project schedules.
• Prepare equipment scheduling to maximize efficiency.
• Ore Grade Control planning and scheduling to optimize efficiency while meeting customer quality requirements.
• Plan and track waste streams from the plant as it transitions into production.
• Assist in long-term and annual work plan preparation with monthly updates.
• Prepare end-of-period material reconciliation reports.
• Support operations and maintenance as directed.
• Design and oversee construction projects including buildings, concrete, and water management facilities.
• Assist in budgeting, optimization studies, and equipment evaluations.
• Provide engineering support for environmental projects related to permitting, surface and groundwater management, soils handling, waste management, and blasting.
