Job summary

SLR Consulting (Americas) seeks a Senior Civil Engineer for its Reno, NV office to lead mining-focused projects and deliver engineering analyses, designs, and reports under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Nevada or ability to obtain within 6 months is required.
• Working knowledge of engineering software including Civil 3D and specialty tools (HEC HMS/HEC RAS; GeoStudio; Rocscience) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own projects in a technical capacity.
• Perform engineering work for industrial and mining projects.
• Visit project sites for data collection, monitoring, and inspection services.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software to design and compute.
• Write memos and calculation packages documenting work.
