Job summary

SLR Consulting (Americas) is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for our Reno, NV office. You will lead mining and industrial projects, mentor staff, and deliver designs, analyses, and reports under a principal engineer.

Expect a collaborative environment with opportunities to work on local and global projects. The role requires a PE license (NV) or the ability to obtain within 6 months, proficiency in Civil 3D and relevant hydrology/geotechnical software, and willingness to travel domestically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Nevada, or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Working knowledge of Civil Design & Grading (Civil 3D).
• Hydrology & Hydraulics software (HEC HMS/HEC RAS) or Geotechnical design software (GeoStudio/Rocscience).
• Valid driver's license; willingness to travel domestically.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own projects in a technical capacity for mining and industrial work.
• Perform engineering work and prepare calculations, reports, and specifications.
• Visit project sites for data collection, monitoring, and construction inspection.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology/geotechnical software to design and compute solutions.
• Write memos and calculation packages documenting work performed.
