Job summary

SLR Consulting (Americas) seeks a Senior Civil Engineer for its Reno, NV office to lead mining-focused projects. You will mentor staff, deliver designs, analyses, and reports under a principal engineer, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across the Americas.

The role requires Nevada PE or eligibility within 6 months, Civil 3D proficiency, and readiness to travel domestically; the firm offers growth and a strong compensation package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Nevada, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Proficiency with Civil Design & Grading software (Civil 3D).
• Software knowledge in Hydrology & Hydraulics (HEC HMS, HEC RAS) or Geotechnical Design (GeoStudio, RocScience).
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel domestically by car/airplane.

Responsibilities

• Lead and take professional ownership of projects in a technical capacity.
• Perform engineering work for industrial and mining projects.
• Visit project sites for data collection, monitoring, investigations, or inspections.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to design and compute.
• Write memos and calculation packages documenting work.
