Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Waco, Texas, is seeking a Senior Specialist, Project Engineer to lead complex hardware/software systems on airborne platforms. You will guide the full lifecycle of Digital ICS product lines, from concept to sustainment, interfacing with customers and internal teams.

The role requires engineering leadership, strong communication, and experience with ICS and avionics integration. Travel may be required as needed to support program goals and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience; graduate degree adds 4+ years.
• An active DoD Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance, US citizenship required.
• Demonstrated experience in program planning, guidance, and engineering execution within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Demonstrated leadership as a Task Leader, IPT Leader, Functional Manager, or similar role.
• Experience communicating with internal and external Customer stakeholders.
• Aircraft Integration, Test and Delivery experience with ICS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional engineering teams in program execution and bid/proposal activities.
• Provide technical leadership to resolve design and integration challenges for system integration efforts.
• Support integration design activities for Digital ICS components such as audio management and networking elements.
• Provide technical leadership on the development of specialized software and hardware for Digital ICS products.
• Lead integration activities to ensure ICS interoperability with avionics and mission systems.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors on component performance and delivery status.
• Track Engineering Performance Metrics and brief program status to senior leadership monthly.
